Before you connect

Here’s the
honest deal.

Comedy Connect is free because it also builds something valuable: an aggregated, up-to-date database of comedy venues and bookers. You get the tool; the platform builds the database. It’s a trade, it’s disclosed, and you can walk away with all your data any time.

What we access

  • Gmail. We read your booking-related emails to build your CRM. A classifier gate drops personal, non-comedy emails before any content is processed.
  • Google Calendar. We read events to harvest gig history and check availability. We write events back only for gigs you’ve confirmed.
  • Google Contacts. We do not access your phone address book. That’s a future phase, disclosed separately before it’s ever built.

In plain English: the content of your conversations and anything that isn’t comedy business stays private. What’s shared is the industry’s public-facing contact info — the same kind already in email footers and on venue websites — kept current and connected.

Who touches your data

  • ComposioManages your Gmail & Google Calendar OAuth connections and holds your connection tokens. Their data-retention terms apply and are disclosed.
  • Google APIsGmail, Google Calendar, and Google Maps (for venue location enrichment) are Google services.
  • Google Gemini · paid tierParses your email content. We use the paid tier specifically because paid inputs are not used to train Google’s models. Never the free tier.
  • Google Maps PlatformGeocodes venues (lat/lng + a stable Place ID) so routing can find the right rooms near a confirmed gig.

Deletion & your rights

Request deletion of your account and all associated data any time by emailing tech@comedyconnect.live. Deletion removes your tenant records. Comedy-entity contact data already promoted to the shared database may be retained in anonymized aggregate form — it’s industry-facing contact information, not your personal data. As California-based operators and testers, we honor CCPA/CPRA disclosure and deletion rights by design.
